Sweet Sour Cabbage

Ingredients

1 ½ pounds red or green cabbage
2 medium apples
½ cup Coca-Cola
2 tablespoons vinegar
2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
2 tablespoons bacon drippings
1 teaspoon salt
½ to 1 teaspoon caraway seeds

Instructions

Coarsely shred or cut cabbage (should measure 3 cups).
Core and dice unpeeled apples. In large saucepan, toss together cabbage, apples, and all remaining ingredients.
Cover, and simmer until cabbage is tender, about 25 minutes. Stir occasionally. Serve.
